For a list of my research articles, please refer to my papers on the arXiv or to my Google Scholar profile.

My research focuses on theoretical condensed matter physics, and recently started to include state-of-the-art techniques from machine learning

As example, consider the prominent concept of phase transitions in condensed matter physics. Given only experimental or numerical data, and no knowledge of the underlying physics, a pair of cooperating networks can autonomously find a phase transition!

A pair of Discriminative Cooperative Networks (DCN) learns, over time, to identify the Haldane phase in a chain of Spin-1’s. The networks were fed only (unlabeled) entanglement spectra and had no prior knowledge.
